Aquarium By the Bay

I don't remember which day it was, but we did manage to find our way over to the Aquarium By the Bay. It wasn't necessarily the best aquarium I've been to but I have to say that the tunnel under water was definitely the highlight of the visit. It's especially exciting for kids. If you have 'em, take 'em!

Apollo and I spent a lot of time in the tunnel. He was deep in thought for a long time...needless to say after we left he was craving fish. I think he's eaten fish of some sort at least three times since we left the aquarium.

They were much more mesmorizing in person, I just loved the jelly fish! They were so beautiful and graceful.

We really liked these little guys, I think they were bat rays. This one seemed to be challenging us.

On our way out, we stopped at some of the petting pools. This one had a variety of starfish and other "petable" sea creatures. Well, everyone in the pool seemed to look normal and then I noticed Mr. Hankey's sea-bound cousin. I think I've heard too many bad poop pool jokes because...well, I'm sure you can imagine.

I made Apollo pet it..hehehe...he said that it was squishy but yet rubbery. The pooey creature had some funny looking spikey things sticking out too. Quite odd.

It looked a little out of place, if you ask me.

The best aquarium I ever saw was the one in Monterey, CA. Their jellyfish display was mesmerizing, and their sea kelp display was truly one of the most beautiful things I'd ever seen. If you ever have a chance to go to Monterey, you have GOT to see this aquarium. That and the awesome antique stores!
