Age of Innocence

Have any of you read a really good book with a beautiful story that can only get better at the end? Have you read THE AGE OF INNOCENCE?? And yes, I'M YELLING because I'm over dramatic like that.

OK, I just have to say, I was very disappointed with the ending. Why would Newland just walk away from his lost love, when he now has the chance and family approval to be with her? What the hell??

As I read the last paragraph I was shocked and felt ripped off. I read it again, because you know, I was so excited for him that I was speed-reading at this point and thought maybe I missed something. And then I realized, IT WAS THE END. I even checked to see if someone had ripped out the last page of my book. BUT NO! THE END!! With a brutal slap in our faces, the author ended the story without a valid explanation (at least to me). I mean, she was so lengthy throughout the rest of the book about who was related to who, what was acceptable, why it was not acceptable, etc, I just expected a bit more in the ending.

I'm a bit tired. Will rant more about this later. SHAW!!

I had to add a photo, blogs are so boring with a bunch of type. Is this a gladiola? I'm terrible with flower names. Anyway, found this beautiful lady growing at Balboa Park. I've never seen them speckled like this.

But wait, there's more!! I recently enjoyed one of my days off walking through Balboa Park and snapped a few shots here and there.

I love Balboa Park. It's so relaxing. Even when there's a lot of people, it's still a nice place to walk and check out the scenery.

Listen, as long as I've lived here, I've never been in this plant-thing-a-ma-jig. I don't even know what it's called, it's never open!! I just know there's interesting plants and tree's growing inside. It looks weird to me.

Construction near the Old Globe and the yard with the modern art in it. Looks like they're creating more spanish looking buildings.

The koi have gotten SOO BIG!! This is just one of many. First, check out the lilly pads which are much bigger than my hand with my fingers spread out. Then, check out that fish!! Some were so big, you could actually see their huge scales! See that rectangler shaped thing just to the right of the fish? Well, some rude person dropped it in the water - it was a letter or a brochure. Anyway, you can use that to guestimate the size of this fish! Absolutely beautiful!
