Museum Trip

We just got back from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Let's just say that by the time I left, I was depressed and angry. And not for the right reasons either. Rather than being emotionally influenced by the art, I was really just angry that I had spent all that money to look at garbage and depressed by what was considered art. Sure, there were a few nice pieces by artists such as Matisse and Frida Kahlo but on average, it was crap.

I'm surprised I feel this way, considering my background. Still...I am bitter. Yes, I'd like to add bitter to my list of emotions. GAH!!! I raise my fists at you SFMOMA!

You know, I'm not really that big on modern art myself. So I raise my fist with you!

I will join you in the fist raising. I've been there and frankly we laughed at the "art". I don't get it. I went to a MOMA in FortWorth last month. I and the rest of the group knew we were in for a laugh. The goal was seeing what they were trying to pass off as "art". Going in with that attitude we had a great time. They had some stereo typical stuff. There was a smallish circular room with a poorly hung curtain in the middle. I kid you not it was called "Drape'. it was the most ridiculous thing.
So my fist is raised with you Ray *ggaahh*
I hope you are having fun in SF.
Happy Birthday!

I'll definitely go the Getty Museum then, where I can see REAL art!
