This is a crack up. I didn't realize that chickens need some practice to get it right the first few times laying an egg. Just goes to show...every day's a school day.
Man. You can tell that took a long time. And hurt. Have you ever seen blue chicken eggs? My in-laws have some chickens that lay them on a fairly regular basis. They are a prettty tealy colour.

Yep, it's a real egg. Normally the eggs are just real small. But sometimes she gets abnormally shaped eggs like this.
Normally as in...if it's a chicken's first time laying eggs. Sometimes they just have funky eggs to start with.
