So I found this really cute Harry Potter bookmark pattern online. It requires DMC embroidery thread and size 0 dpns. I thought, why not? It should be a nice challenge! Besides, I have a workmate I'm sure would find some use for it.So, I start working on it. The stripes are small and I've been having a lot of problems with the collor change using this tiny thread and bending needles. You can see it's so tiny that I store the entire project in a sandwich baggy. And then...and THEN...someone says, "That's not what the scarf looks like." You can bet your booty I stopped knitting at that exact moment. I am not knitting another stitch until I find out which one of these patterns is the one I should be using. They both have the official embroidery emblem, but that doesn't mean anything to me. Anyone know? Or is it just a matter of preference?

You got me curious, so I did a google search on harry potter pics from the movie. Turns out he wears both styles of the sweater (I can email you the evidence if you like--looks like he wore the large striped one in the first movie and the one with small yellow stripes in later movies), so I guess it would just be a matter of personal preference--which one YOU like best. I prefer the one with the small yellow stripes.
I typed sweater, didn't I? My bad. I meant scarf!
I've learned that both scarves are acceptable and really, a matter of preference. Chad has chosen Option A, while Paul has heavily hinted about Option B.
Option B? that's because Paul is a twit! He still has my book 5 and hasn't even finished book 4, twit!
Option A is much more distinguished.
